- Inputs and maintains product design data (3D and 2D) on Toyota’s CAD system throughout the developmental phases of assigned projects. - Works closely with other departments at Toyota and our company in order to maintain the communication levels necessary for project success. - Outputs clients' data and drawings and distributes to all necessary locations with timeliness and accuracy. - Visits our company' manufacturing plants at planned stages of the project to review harness quality and workability and to explain harness critical points to manufacturing members. - Visits client's manufacturing plants through the customer's RE (Resident Engineer) program to investigate quality and workability problems in the vehicle and apply effective countermeasures. - Understands design quality controls and applies them throughout the harness development process in order to achieve excellent design quality. - Understands the project design schedule completely and follows it in order to reach each milestone in a timely manner. - Responsible for understanding clients' Standards and procedures and following them closely throughout the course of assigned projects. - Responsible for understanding the our company' Design Standard and Design-In Reminder Checklists, and applying them to both initial harness development and harness evaluations. - Understands harness routing design and harness components and can participate in R & D for next generation clients' vehicles.
We are looking for highly qualified design engineers.
Mainly remote work, but it is preferable that a candidate engineer live near by locations where are accessible to York Township, MI as they need to visit a client's site frequently.
40 hrs per Week
$75,000-$100,000 (DOE)
2days off per week Holidays and Paid Vacation
