The position of QA/QC Assistant is responsible for assisting the QA/QC department by maintaining and ensuring company standards and expectations are met towards the quality of our products. The QA/QC Assistant is also responsible for, but not limited to, assisting with communication with Japan Office for all quality-related topics, coordination for raw ingredient and finished product testing, communication with third-party laboratories and manufacturers, documentation of internal training, supplier document procurement, maintenance of quality statements and specifications, label registration, and invoice processing. • Communicate QA/QC related matters effectively with our quality department in Japan. • Collect data for Japan Office in preparation for facility audits and corrective action resolution. • Coordinate continued improvement with Japan Office regarding food regulatory compliance. • Collaborate with Japan Office to complete client questionnaires and other quality-related documents and inquiries. • Create 3rd party laboratory sample submission forms and coordinate product and ingredient testing. • Ensure 3rd party laboratory test methods are covered with ISO accreditation. • Communicate effectively with 3rd party laboratories for sample submission and report generation. • Create, organize, and maintain certificates of analysis (COA). • Update, maintain, and distribute product specifications. • Update, maintain, and distribute quality statements, declarations, and policies. • Update and distribute sampling procedures for co-manufactured finished goods. • Ensure retention samples are collected and verified. • Maintain effective communication with co-manufacturers. • Ensure quality-related invoices are processed. • Conduct and document internal training. • Assist with label registration with all relevant certification groups. • Maintain and organize certifications and other quality documents required from our suppliers. • Inform of any potential problems or opportunities in the QA area to QA/QC Assistant Manager. • Other duties and projects as assigned.
