CareerForum.net ("CFN") is the service run by DISCO Inc. (“DISCO”) to provide career opportunity information on the internet (at https://careerforum.net/). CFN includes mail services for distributing information to the Members by e-mail and other services.
A CFN Member ("member" or "you") means a person who applied to CFN to become a member and has been approved by DISCO.
By registration, you are deemed to have agreed upon the contents of all the rules herein. We may send (including by e-mail) various employment-related information published by DISCO and its group companies, employment information for individual job seekers commissioned by companies that offer jobs registered with CFN (hereinafter referred to as "Job Seekers"), other information useful for career development and job hunting activities, requests for cooperation in various surveys, and advertisements for products useful for employment. We may also ask you to participate in various questionnaire surveys or send you advertisements for products that may be useful in your job search.
You are deemed to have agreed to receive such information.
You may change, add to and remove the descriptions of your registration at any time with no obligation; provided, however, that you will be responsible for your own registration descriptions. Further, you may withdraw from the registration with no obligation at any time. In order to withdraw from registration, you shall take the designated procedures on line.
You agree not to do any of the following with CFN:
1. Register false information,
2. Reproduce, sell, publish or utilize in any other manner the information provided by CFN and DISCO beyond personal use,
3. Engage in information supply for profit,
4. Engage in conduct that infringes intellectual property rights belonging to other members or third parties,
5. Engage in any conduct that harms property, privacy and other things of other members or third parties, criminal act or any other conduct contrary to public decency and morality,
6. Engage in any conduct that disrupts the administration of CFN, or harms, or may harm, the credibility of DISCO,
7. Forward the e-mail magazine sent by CFN to a third party, and
8. Engage in any illegal act or other act that DISCO deems inappropriate.
DISCO reserves the right to discontinue its service to you or remove your registration without prior notice if DISCO is of the opinion that you are in breach of these rules.
DISCO will handle the personal information of its members in accordance with "Handling of Personal Information" [https://www.disc.co.jp/privacy/detail/] and the following.
Upon application to a recruiting company’s job opening or seminar, DISCO will provide the following personal data of the member to the recruiting company as applicant data and seminar applicant data. The recruiting company will use the personal data provided for the purpose of contacting the member during the recruitment and selection process. For more information on the management system and handling of personal data at each recruiting company, please contact the recruiting company directly.

DISCO may create statistical data in a format that does not identify individuals based on the personal information provided by the member, and may use such data without any restrictions.
The "Resume Scout Service" is a service that allows recruiting companies to view resumes that members have posted on CFN and to send job application messages to said members. The "Resume Scout Service" is a voluntary service and members shall register their resumes on CFN at their own discretion and responsibility.
When a member uses the "Resume Scout Service", the following information registered in their member profile will be disclosed to the recruiting company. DISCO will not be held responsible for any impairment (mental or emotional damage, the discontinuation of job-hunting, or other financial troubles) caused by the registered content.

The Resume Scout Service includes a function that allows you, at yourown discretion, to make your resume information private (the "block function") for certain companies that have used CFN in the past or are currently using CFN. However, the block function may not be maintained in the event of a merger or company name change, etc. of a company that has been blocked. Therefore, the block function does not guarantee that your resume will remain private permanently. Members who use the "block function" service understand the above and agree that they are responsible for selecting and managing the companies to which the "block function” applies. DISCO shall not be liable for any loss or damage (including, but not limited to, emotional distress, interruption of job search activities, or any other financial loss) incurred by a member as a result of the block function.
DISCO shall not be held liable for any damage (including, but not limited to, emotional distress, an interruption in your job-hunting activities and any other disadvantage including a monetary loss) arising from your registration with CFN, use thereof, information provided by a third party and other activities, unless such damage was caused by intention or gross negligence of DISCO. Further, DISCO shall not be obligated to re-send its e-mail magazine and other materials in case they become garbled and illegible.
DISCO shall not be held liable for any damage suffered due to causes beyond its control including, but not limited to, damage from computer virus attacks which cannot be prevented by ordinary preventive measures and natural disasters. DISCO does not guarantee the data stored at CFN will not be deleted or modified by such an act of force majeure.
If you cause a third party or third parties any damage by your registration with CFN or use thereof, you shall be responsible for a solution. DISCO will not bear any responsibility in such a case.
If you violate the rules herein and, whether directly or indirectly, cause a loss to DISCO, you shall be obligated to indemnify all the loss to DISCO.
DISCO may transfer, or cause to transfer, hereunder to a third party the status hereunder without your consent by providing a prior notice at the CFN website; DISCO may assign, or cause to assign, hereunder to a third party the rights hereunder without your consent by providing a prior notice at the CFN website; and DISCO may delegate, or cause to delegate, hereunder to a third party the obligations hereunder without your consent by providing a prior notice at the CFN website
1. You agree that DISCO may change or temporarily halt its service to you without a prior notice.
2. DISCO may halt for a long period of time or discontinue its entire service by giving a notice one month prior thereto.
1. DISCO may change these rules at its own discretion if:
(1) Change of these rules is generally beneficial to the members; or
(2) Change of these rules is not contrary to the purpose of the Contract and is reasonable by considering the necessity of change, reasonableness of the changed provisions, details of change and other circumstances related to the change.
In the event of any substantial change of these rules, DISCO will, at least one (1) month prior to the first day of application of the amended provisions, terms and conditions (collectively, the “Changed Terms and Conditions”), post notification on CFN to the effect that these rules will be changed as well as on the details and effective date of these rules after such change.
2. If you do not agree to the Changed Terms and Conditions, you can withdraw from CFN on the day immediately preceding the first day of application of such terms and conditions by following the withdrawal procedures by the method specified by DISCO pursuant to Article 4 “Changes in Registration Method and Withdrawal.”
3. If you use CFN on or after the first day of application of the Changed Terms and Conditions, you will be deemed to have agreed to the change in these rules.
These rules shall be governed by the laws of Japan, and construed and interpreted thereunder.
The Tokyo District Court or (if the jurisdictional amount does not exceed 1,400,000 yen) the Tokyo Summary Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction for the first instance over any dispute arising from or relating to these rules.
These rules may be translated into English for convenience purposes. The original of the rules shall be in Japanese.
