Career Support for UK & EU Students (In-person & Online)

Campus seminars and career events will be held throughout the UK and in Paris as well as special online events for everyone to participate.

Near 1,000 students in the UK & EU participated in the Preparing for CF Seminar, CF Job Offer Recipients Webinar, and Networking Event held this past October.
If you were not able to participate, no worries! This February and March, we will be visiting university campuses throughout the UK and Paris to offer in-person career support to prepare for the London Career Forum being held in April with companies eager to hire UK and EU students like yourself.
For those who live too far to attend, fear not! We will be holding online webinars with the same content.
We also have several special online career support events lined up this year.
No need to go through the job hunting process by yourself. A dedicated member of our team with many years' experience working with UK & EU students will be supporting you all the way to the London Career Forum.
* Students from any country/university may attend any seminar. Please select whichever one is most convenient for you (excluding the University of Sheffield seminar).
* Due to venue regulations, pre-registering for seminars is mandatory (places booked on a first-come-first-served basis).
* Joining/leaving part-way through a seminar is OK. No dress code.
* All seminars will be held in Japanese.

Preparing for CF Webinar for UK & EU Students + Q&A

For those who missed our seminars in autumn, this is your last chance! It explains the basics of how Career Forums work, how to write a CFN resume, how to use multiple Career Forums to secure job offers and more.

* Utilizing both this webinar and the London CF prep seminar is a must if you're planning on getting results at the London CF. Many job seekers who received offers have benefited from these webinars. If you already attended one of our seminars in autumn can skip this webinar.

On Campus Preparing for London CF Seminar + Q&A with CFN Staff

The seminar will explain how to prepare and achieve results at the London CF. If you are thinking or already planning on attending the London CF, then this is a must attend.

A dedicated member of our team with many years' experience working with UK & EU students will be available after the seminar to answer your questions during a casual Q&A session. (Participation is optional)

* To participate, simply sign up for the seminar. (No pre-registration needed for Q&A session)
* 2/22 (Thu.) Seminar for Oxford University will be held as a online meeting.
* If you are not able to attend the in-person seminar, please feel free to take part in the online seminar (same contents) instead.

Webinar for those who can not attend the in-person campus seminars.
The same contents as the campus seminars, this webinar will explain how to prepare and achieve results at the London CF. If you are thinking or already planning on attending the London CF, then this is a must attend. A casual Q&A session will follow the seminar.

We will hold the following networking events for you to connect with other students who are job hunting! These events are hugely popular every year.

Make friends with other students who are job hunting in the same industries as you, or those who may have the same job hunting queries and doubts, or those who are also going to the London CF, or those who you can practise the Fermi estimation with, or whoever else you like!
The Preparing for CF Seminar contents will be the same as those held on campus, so anyone who has already attended/watched the seminar online are welcome to attend just the Networking Event and/or Q&A if they wish.

Webinar to Introduce London CF Participating Companies & Job seeker networking

A two-part event
1. Webinar to introduce London CF participating companies
The London CF will be attended by companies specifically wanting to hire job seekers from the UK and Europe.

This webinar provides information about those companies that can only be found here, straight from DISCO staff that have direct communication with those companies!

A great opportunity to kick-start your company research in preparation for the event.

2. Job seeker networking
Being held about a month before the Career Forum, meet other job seekers who are planning on attending the Career Forum and exchange information, ask each other questions or find others who might want to room share with. CFN staff will also have a virutal help desk to answer any questions.

Even if you are not yet sure if you will be attending the Career Forum, a must attend as the online networking event specifically for London CF. (1st and 2nd year students also welcome to attend)

Fermi Estimation & Case Interview Preparation Webinar

Consulting firms are an excellent match for UK & EU students whose studies regularly incorporate logic and critical thinking. That is why these companies participate in the London CF every year and give job offers to many candidates.

Many UK & EU students have also expressed a desire to hear directly from a consulting firm regarding the Fermi Estimation and Case Interviews that are consistently used in their selection processes. Other companies such as Shosha and manufacturing companies have also incorporated these into their selection processes. Open to all years, hear directly from the consulting professionals.

London CF Job Offer Recipients Webinar

One of our popular webinars! Past job seekers who attended the London CF and successfully received job offers will give tips and pointers while sharing their own episodes. The webinar will be held with cameras turned on so that people can easily ask questions and chat with the past job seekers.

In Paris: Job Seeker Networking / Q&A with CFN Staff

In response to requests from EU-based job seekers, we will be holding an in-person seminar in Paris! The session will consist of two parts:
① Job Seeker Networking Event: Job seekers who participate in the same networking events held in the UK every year often use this opportunity to meet other students who they can practise their job application tests with, make friends to travel to the London CF with and share accommodation costs, and create study groups to give each other moral support and feedback.
② Resume Writing Workshop & Round Table Q&A Discussion with a CFN Specialist: We often hear from job seekers that they are struggling to write their CFN resume. This workshop will help you prepare your self-PR (essential for your resume) and guide you through the process. Afterwards, we will hold a round table Q&A where you can ask our CFN specialist any questions you may have.

You can participate in parts ① and ② or just attend whichever part is most relevant for you. Please feel free to come and go as you please.

Even if you are unsure about attending the London CF, please join us for this session! Students from all years of study and backgrounds are welcome. Every year we welcome students from all over the EU, including the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and more.
