Job Description

Responsibilities Review with some preparation of complex tax returns, including multi-state returns for Corporations, partnerships, individuals, estates, trusts, and gift taxes Tax Planning and projections for businesses and individuals Review of year end closings prepared by staff Perform technical tax research on tax issues & matters, as well as keeping current with changing tax laws and regulations Correspond with taxing authorities to resolve tax matters Analyze the scope of multi engagements to manage team schedules, budgets, and deadlines Direct interaction with partners Supervision of Senior/Staff/Associate Accountants including training, coaching and mentoring Direct client contact, which with the potential lead to take over a retiring partners book

Qualifications

Target Candidate(s): Exp. Professional
Degree: MBA Bachelor JD Ph.D.
University Major Field: Accounting
Language Skill: Japanese : Native level English : Fluent level
Other Qualifications: Minimum Education Requirement- Bachelor’s Degree with major in Accounting Master’s Degree highly preferred Knowledge of or previous experience working with ProSystem Tax or OneSource Trust Tax is a plus Current/Active CPA license required 6 to 10 years of experience in public tax and accounting 5+ years in a supervisory role Broad-based tax experience with excellent research skills Ability to delegate work as needed Strong supervisory and technical skills, as well as interpersonal and communication skills are essential Capable of effectively developing and maintaining client relationships Capacity to work well in a team environment and demonstrate leadership skills

Recruiting information

Employment Location: Los Angeles, CA or NY
Work Hours & Weekly Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm
Salary: Around 100K (D.O.E)
Holidays & Vacation: Weekends and holidays
